Pierre’s extensive experience of over 40 years includes senior roles in corporate development, strategy and legal. Before joining Manara Minerals Investment Company as CEO, Pierre was executive director and head of strategy at Allied Gold Corporation from 2021 to 2023, during which time the company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

From April 2019 to February 2021, Pierre was Executive Vice President, Corporate Development & Strategy at AngloGold Ashanti. Prior to this, during an 11-year tenure he served as Senior Vice President, Business Development and General Counsel at Rio Tinto Aluminum, and during his seven years at Alcan he was Deputy Chief Legal Officer, and later Vice President and General Counsel. Pierre also worked as Vice President, Corporate Development and General Counsel at Cambior.

Pierre is a non-executive director on the boards of Canadian-listed companies Allied Gold Corporation and G Mining Ventures Corp.
