Johan is currently Vice President Merger and Acquisitions at Ma’aden, a position he has held since 2023.

Prior to this he held the positions of Group Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer and Group CFO at Middle East Paper Company. He was Group CFO and Chief Investment Officer at Saudi Investment Recycling Company, CFO and Head of Corporate Development at Alliances for Global Sustainability and Finance Head SS Implementation and Business Transformation at Etihad Airways. In his early career he was Senior Manager Corporate Finance Mergers and Acquisition at Sasol and Advisor to the Vice President and General Manager at SABIC.

Johan is also a board member at Meridian and was previously, between 2019 and 2021, on the board of Alliances for Global Sustainability..
