James Rutherford has over 25 years’ experience in investment management and investment banking, specialising in the global mining and metals sector.

He has previously worked as Senior Vice President, Capital International Investors at Capital Group Companies, was Vice President at HSBC, an analyst at Credit Lyonnaise Americas and Regional Vice President Laing & Cruickshank.

He is currently chairperson of the board of Centamin. He is a board member of Tantallon Capital India Fund and Ecora Resources (formerly Anglo Pacific Group), positions he has held since 2015 and 2019 respectively.
