Sajjad is a seasoned risk and strategy professional with strong expertise across the entire risk spectrum with particular focus on investment risk.

Sajjad has been with the Public Investment Fund (PIF) since 2018 which is Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, investing into a wide range of sectors in Saudi Arabia and internationally.

He has 26 years of risk management experience , including ~20 years at Deutsche Bank, where he was Managing Director (MD). He currently heads up the Investment Risk Coverage function at PIF and prior to that he was the Head of Credit & Counterparty Risk at PIF.

Sajjad holds two master’s degrees (General Management & Finance) and a Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering. He also holds several certifications including Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), and Certificate in Company Direction.
