Robert has over 30 years of executive and operational experience in metals, mining and multinational corporate leadership.

He is currently CEO of Ma’aden, a position he has held since 2022. His career includes 17 years at Alcoa, where he held the position, among others, of Executive Vice President and President Global Primary Products. From 2018 to 2020 he was President of Precision Castparts, a metals group which is a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway. He was also previously CEO of Sofina Foods.

He currently also serves on the boards Ma’aden and Saudi American Business Council.
